Shallow Water De-Icing :

To de-ice shallow areas, place the de-icer in deeper water and angle it toward the shallow zone. This pushes warmer and denser bottom water into the shallows, preventing ice formation.

Boat De-Icing :

Install de-icers near the bow, angled toward the stern, following the boat’s hull contour. Large or wide boats may need multiple units, suspended from cleats or placed under the hull for effective ice prevention.

Dock, Pier & Shoreline De-Icing :

Angle the de-icer to direct flow toward the shore, creating a “T” pattern that maximizes open water around docks or piers. For controlled areas or to avoid shoreline de-icing, use vertical installation and water curtains to limit flow.

Water Fluctuations :

In tidal areas, position the de-icer midway between high and low tide depths, or attach it to a floating dock or boat so it moves with the tide.

How do I choose a fountain?

Answer:

To choose a fountain, first decide if your goal is aeration, aesthetics, or both.

If I want to buy a fountain, how do I choose the horsepower?

Answer:

Horsepower determines the spray pattern size. Choose based on your pond’s depth, size, and budget. Most fountains fit ponds ¼ acre or larger, but avoid overspray. Select horsepower based on the look you want and what you can spend.

Do I need to hire someone to install my fountain?

Answer:

If there's no power source near your pond, hire a licensed electrician to install one. Once power is set up, fountain installation is simple: the unit floats, anchors with rope and cinder blocks, and plugs in via a submersible cord. Many customers install it themselves to save money, depending on available resources.

Question:

How do I choose between 110-120V and 220-240V?

Answer:

If your pond's power source is over 70 feet from the main breaker, use 210–240V to ensure consistent fountain performance. Lower voltage at long distances can cause the fountain to run poorly or shut off. Make sure your setup can handle higher voltage.

Are lights automatically included?

Answer:

Lights are sold separately but can be added anytime. They easily snap onto the fountain and are highly recommended.

Why is the power cord so expensive?

Answer:

The power cord cost is based on material and gauge size. It uses copper or stainless steel wire, ranging from 14-gauge to 4-gauge, depending on the fountain’s size and cord length.
